The Thacker Pack: We (Dave and Sarah) have been friends since 9th grade. We began dating the spring of our senior year of high school. Dave was completely smitten with me and promised that I could have as many children as I wanted. He does not remember that promise! :) We had Dyson and Sydney, a boy and a girl. Dave thought we were done. I pleaded with him for a third child. And then was Landon. Our family was complete. But...both Dave and I felt compassion for children who didn't have parents. We felt that we had enough love and energy to parent one more child. We adopted Josh from foster care in 2008. Dave thought we were done again. I was pretty sure we weren't! I left the decision in God's hands, pretty confident that He would change Dave's mind and then there was Reese. This blog was started for family and friends to share in our journey bringing Reese home from Haiti. I have decided to turn it into a "Mommy" blog.
